What is Foiling in Sailing?
Riding on hydrofoils — underwater wings that lift the hull clear of the water once the boat has enough speed, drastically cutting drag. Foiling boats can travel at multiples of the wind speed, and keeping stable 'flight' is a skill in itself.
Example: The Nacra popped onto its foils and doubled its speed in seconds.
