What is One-on-one in Football?

A situation where an attacker is through on goal with only the goalkeeper to beat — the highest-value chance in open play, typically worth 0.3-0.5 xG or more. Denying a one-on-one by fouling can mean a red card for DOGSO.

Example: He rounded the keeper in the one-on-one and rolled the ball into the empty net.
