What is Low block in Football?
A defensive strategy where a team retreats into a compact shape deep in its own half — often two banks of four or five — conceding possession and territory to deny space behind the defence and force opponents into low-quality shots or crosses. Beating a low block usually requires quick ball movement, width, and shots from range.
Example: After taking the lead away from home, they sat in a low block for the final half hour.
