What is Free kick (direct and indirect) in Football?

A restart awarded after an offence. From a direct free kick the taker can score straight away; an indirect free kick (for technical offences like offside or a back-pass handled by the keeper) needs a touch from a second player before a goal can count. Defenders must stand at least 9.15 m away.

Example: She curled the direct free kick over the wall and into the top corner.
