What is Penalty goal in Rugby?

A place kick at goal worth 3 points in union (2 in league), taken after the opposition concedes a penalty. Teams choose it when a try looks unlikely or the game is tight.

Example: Trailing by two with a minute left, they pointed to the posts for the penalty goal.
