What is Drop goal in Rugby?

A goal scored in open play by dropping the ball to the ground and kicking it on the half-volley over the crossbar. Worth 3 points in union and 1 in league, it is a classic way to settle tight knockout matches.

Example: Jonny Wilkinson's drop goal won the 2003 Rugby World Cup final in extra time.
