What is Number 8 in Rugby?
The forward who packs down at the back of the scrum. The number 8 may pick the ball from the scrum's base and carry, and is typically a powerful ball-carrying link between forwards and backs.
Example: The number 8 picked from the base and crashed over from five metres.
