What is Forward pass in Rugby?
A pass that travels toward the opponent's dead-ball line, which is illegal in both rugby codes. The sanction is a scrum to the opposition. Officials judge the direction of the passer's hands, not just where the ball lands.
Example: The try was ruled out for a forward pass two phases earlier.
