What is Forty-five (45) in Gaelic Football?
A placed kick awarded to the attacking team when a defender plays the ball over his own end line: taken from the 45-metre line, it is the Gaelic football equivalent of a corner, often kicked directly over the bar for a point.
Example: The goalkeeper strode up and nailed the 45.
