What is Point in Gaelic Football?

The basic score, worth 1: the ball sent over the crossbar and between the posts by boot or fist. The umpire signals it with a white flag. Most matches are decided by accumulated points rather than goals.

Example: He curled a point off the outside of the boot from the 45.
