What is Solo-and-go in Gaelic Football?

A quick restart introduced in the 2025 rules: a fouled player may immediately self-pass and play on rather than waiting to take a conventional free, keeping the tempo up and punishing cynical fouling.

Example: He took the solo-and-go and caught the retreating defence flat-footed.
