What is Allez / Halte in Fencing?
The referee's commands to begin ('allez' — go) and stop ('halte') fencing. Nothing scored after 'halte' counts, and the clock only runs between the two calls.
Example: He lunged a beat after 'halte' and the touch was annulled.
