What is Super Over in Cricket?
The tiebreaker for tied limited-overs matches: each side bats one over with two wickets in hand, and the higher score wins. If the Super Over also ties, another follows. Famously, the 2019 ODI World Cup final was decided after a tied Super Over on the boundary-count rule, since abolished in favour of repeat Super Overs.
Example: The match went to a Super Over after both sides finished on 172.
