What is Googly in Cricket?
A leg-spinner's deception ball: bowled with what looks like a normal leg-break action but spinning the opposite way, from off to leg. Batters reading the hand rather than the pitch are most vulnerable to it. Also called a 'wrong'un'.
Example: The batter played for the leg-break and was bowled through the gate by the googly.
