What is Net run rate (NRR) in Cricket?

The tiebreaker in limited-overs league tables: a team's runs scored per over across the tournament minus runs conceded per over. A team bowled out is treated as having faced its full quota of overs. Positive NRR means you score faster than you concede.

Example: The team needed to win by 30-plus runs to lift its NRR above its playoff rival's.
