What is Off-spin in Cricket?

Finger spin that turns from a right-hander's off side into the batter (left to right from the bowler's view). The off-spinner's stock ball breaks in towards the stumps; variations include the arm ball that goes straight on and, for some, the doosra.

Example: The off-spinner ripped one through the gate to bowl the left-hander.
