What is Bye in Cricket?

Runs taken when the ball passes the batter without touching bat or body — usually when the wicketkeeper fumbles or the ball beats everyone. Byes count to the team total as extras, and are informally counted against the keeper's tidiness.

Example: The bouncer flew over everyone for four byes.
