What is Touch penalty in Canoeing?

The 2-second penalty added to a slalom run when a paddler's body, paddle or boat touches a gate pole. Multiple touches on the same gate still count as one 2-second penalty for that gate.

Example: A single touch on gate 14 dropped him from first to fourth.
