What is Stroke rate in Canoeing?

Strokes per minute. Sprint kayakers hold very high rates in short races, and rate surges signal attacks or finishing sprints; in slalom, rate matters less than line and timing.

Example: Their K4 lifted the rate for the final 100 metres.
