What is Spraydeck in Canoeing?
The flexible waterproof skirt worn around the paddler's waist and sealed over the cockpit rim, keeping whitewater out of the boat. It releases with a grab loop if the paddler needs to swim.
Example: A wave buried the bow but the spraydeck kept the boat dry.
