What is Feather (paddle feather) in Canoeing?

The angle offset between the two blades of a kayak paddle, letting the out-of-water blade slice through air while the other pulls. Paddlers choose feather angles to suit technique and conditions.

Example: Sprint paddlers rotate the shaft each stroke because of the feathered blades.
