What is J-stroke in Canoeing?
A canoe steering stroke that finishes with an outward hook, correcting the boat's natural turn away from the paddling side without switching sides. Racing canoeists use refined versions of this correction on almost every stroke.
Example: Without a rudder, the C1 paddler steers with J-stroke corrections.
