What is Bounce (running bounce) in Australian Rules Football?

A player running with the ball must bounce it on the ground (or touch it to the turf) at least every 15 metres. Failing to do so is 'running too far' and concedes a free kick — bouncing an oval ball at sprint speed is a signature skill.

Example: He took three bounces along the wing before delivering inside 50.
