What is Hand-pass (handball) in Australian Rules Football?
The legal way to pass by hand: the ball is held on one open palm and punched with the clenched fist of the other hand. Throwing is illegal. Quick hand-pass chains are how teams escape heavy congestion.
Example: Three slick hand-passes broke the stoppage open.
