What is Empty raid in Kabaddi?

A raid in which the raider crosses the baulk line but returns without scoring a touch or bonus point. No points change hands, but two consecutive empty raids by a team make its next raid a do-or-die raid. Teams sometimes raid 'empty' deliberately to run down the clock.

Example: Protecting a two-point lead, the raiders played out three safe empty raids in the final minutes.
