What is Cant in Kabaddi?
The continuous, audible chant of 'kabaddi, kabaddi' that a raider must keep up for the entire raid, traditionally in a single breath. Losing the cant while in the opponents' half means the raider is declared out. It is the sport's original raid timer and the reason for kabaddi's famous soundtrack.
Example: The umpire ruled the raider out because his cant broke while he was still behind the baulk line.
