What is Around the net in Table Tennis?

A legal return that passes outside the net posts rather than over the net — possible when a wide-angled ball drags a player far off the side of the table. The ball may even land legally without ever rising above net height.

Example: From beside the table she curled the ball around the net for an outrageous winner.
