What is Clinging ball in Squash?

A ball travelling so tight along the side wall that a clean swing risks hitting the wall itself. The tighter the shot, the weaker the possible reply — 'tightness' is a virtue alongside length.

Example: His drives clung to the plaster and drew three weak boasts.
