What is Tin in Squash?

The out-of-bounds strip at the base of the front wall, topped by a board that often makes a distinctive clang. Hitting the tin loses the rally instantly — it is squash's equivalent of the net, set at 48 cm traditionally and 43 cm in professional play.

Example: His match ball attempt caught the top of the tin by a centimetre.
