What is Senshu in Karate?

The 'first-point advantage': a marker given to the fighter who scores the bout's first unopposed point. If the bout ends level, the senshu holder wins. It can be forfeited as a sanction for passivity late in the bout.

Example: Level at 4-4, he took the win on senshu.
