What is Checkout in Darts?

The combination of darts that finishes a leg by reaching exactly zero on a double, and the act of doing so. Checkout tables list standard routes — 100 as treble 20, double 20, for instance — and finishing under pressure is the game's defining skill.

Example: A 121 checkout on the bull sealed the match.
