What is Backhand in Badminton?

Any shot struck on the non-racquet side of the body, usually with the thumb-supported grip. The rear-court backhand clear is one of the hardest strokes in the sport, which is why players run around it when they can.

Example: Opponents fed his deep backhand corner all match.
