What is Grind in Skateboarding?

Sliding along an edge, rail or coping on the trucks (the metal axles) rather than the board's surface. Grinds are named by which truck contacts: 50-50 (both), 5-0 (back only), nosegrind (front only), crooked, smith, feeble and more.
