What is Muay boran in Muay Thai?
'Ancient boxing' — the umbrella term for the pre-modern battlefield and regional styles from which sport Muay Thai was codified in the twentieth century. Preserved in demonstrations and choreography rather than competition.
Example: The gala opened with a muay boran demonstration in traditional dress.
