What is Clinch in Muay Thai?

Muay Thai's standing grappling phase: fighters tie up, fight for inside head and arm control, land knees and elbows, and attack sweeps and dumps. Unlike kickboxing or boxing, referees allow extended clinch work while either fighter is active.

Example: The bout turned when she started winning every clinch exchange.
