What is Pebble in Curling?

The fine frozen droplets sprayed onto the sheet before play. Stones ride on the pebble's tiny bumps rather than flat ice, which reduces friction and enables the curl; as pebble wears during a game the ice gets faster or straighter, and reading that change is a core skill.
