The 20th Asian Games run 19 September to 4 October 2026 across Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya, with more than 460 medal events across 41 sports (68 disciplines) and all 45 Olympic Council of Asia members expected; competition begins 10 September, before the opening ceremony.
🇮🇳 India watch: India is finalising its squads (boxing, archery, badminton, wrestling and more announced, with the named contingent at 193 athletes and growing as of late July 2026) as it looks to build on its record 107 medals from Hangzhou 2022.

Highlights
- Nagoya becomes Japan's third Asian Games host city after Tokyo 1958 and Hiroshima 1994
